BYWAYS Premiere in Frankfurt

March 20, 2026

Following a successful world premiere in Dresden, our double bill BYWAYS has now celebrated its Frankfurt premiere at the Bockenheimer Depot. To a sold-out house, we presented two new works by Ioannis Mandafounis and the Australian choreographer Rosalind Crisp.

Classical ballet meets improvisation in the new work “Eins vor, zwei zurück” by Ioannis Mandafounis, co-produced with the Semperoper Ballet. Rosalind Crisp, one of Australia’s most influential choreographers, created “Seen Unseen” for this evening – a piece performed in close proximity to the audience, where every shift in the dancers’ weight is visible and every breath audible.

After the premiere, the ensemble and the audience came together at our premiere celebration. We look forward to the upcoming shows – until 29. March at the Bockenheimer Depot.
