Getting a piece ready for the stage requires a great deal of rehearsal and a willingness to engage with the process anew every day. This is particularly true when it comes to new works, such as those by Thomas Bradley and Ioannis Mandafounis, which will be performed as part of the double bill "Here Is There" at Schauspiel Frankfurt from 04. June.

If you look closely at something, you can recognise patterns even in seemingly random actions. If you look long enough, you see how they change. With "Several Rhythms Sort Thoughtfully", his first work for the DFDC, Thomas Bradley invites us to engage in such observation. He understands choreography as a social system, akin to a game.

The images and situations in "This Beautiful Messy Thing" by Ioannis Mandafounis are characterised by tension: in cramped confines, one longs for space; in the chaos, for simplicity and clarity. Often, something contains its own opposite. Where does the urge for change lead?
