The DFDC dancers begin their daily rehearsals with the “Morning Dance”. They dance freely in the studio to their favourite songs, immersing themselves in the improvisational method developed by Ioannis Mandafounis, the company’s artistic director. All these songs are now compiled in our Morning Dance @ Night playlist on Spotify, so you can start your day, afternoon or evening full of energy. And if you don’t want to dance to the songs on your own, you can come along to our Morning Dance @ Night on 22 April.

We invite all dance enthusiasts to a Morning Dance on stage at the Bockenheimer Depot. The evening also offers the opportunity to freely apply the methods and improvisation techniques learnt in the DFDC workshops. For those with no experience, dance instructor Manuel Gaubatz will provide regular guidance.

Dancing is on socks, bare feet or in indoor trainers, in comfortable, movement-friendly clothing. Frankfurt DJ Michael Rütten will be playing the DFDC dancers’ favourite Morning Dance tracks.
