For me, dance is the most sincere and immediate way to express myself. It brings curiosity and surprises into my life. Dancing never feels the same, and that’s what I love about it. Through dance, I remain grounded and true to who I am.
Simon Voitux Puigrenier began dancing hip-hop and ballet and studied classical dance at the Conservatoire Régional de Paris and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. He has performed in both classical and contemporary works, including pieces by Trisha Brown and Merce Cunningham. Over the past three years, he completed the bachelor's programme in dance at the Palucca University of Dance Berlin, during which he performed for Ohad Naharin, Ioannis Mandafounis, Dafi Altabeb and others.
