
Liam Meier (they/them) was born in Switzerland and started their dance studies at Rosella Hightower, then at the Hamburg Ballet School and obtained their Bachelor at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden in 2025. Liam is a mover looking for new internal discoveries, connections, and new ways to approach movement, researching within their own personal experiences and focusing on the process, on growth rather than achievements. They worked on creation processes with choreographers such as Giovanni Insaudo and Sandra Salietti, Alexander Miller and Chiara de’ Nobili, Ioannis Mandafounis, Craig Davidson during their studies and Noa Zuk and Ohad Fishof, Emilie Leriche, Roy Assaf and Andrea Costanzo Martini during their time in the Nuova X program based in Turin under the direction of Tom Weinberger.
A choreography by Liam won the Stuttgart Solo Dance Theatre festival in 2026 (1st prize in performance and 1st prize in choreography) and keeps touring in Germany and Italy since 2025. In the 2025/26 season, Liam will appear as a guest dancer in the new creation „This Beautiful Messy Thing“ by Ioannis Mandafounis.
