Jochem Eerdekens

As a child I loved to imagine myself powerful like a superhero, one of these characters that can fly, change the weather, stop time and transform the world around them. I never developed actual superpowers, so I became a dancer instead.

Jochem Eerdekens is a Belgian dancer and performer that graduated from the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp in 2016, where he worked with artists such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Jan Martens, and Iñaki Azpillaga. He then spent six years in Rotterdam, building a freelance career throughout the Dutch and Belgian contemporary dance landscape. He worked with artists such as Ryan Djojokarso, Agostina D’Alessandro, Ivgi&Greben, and Antonin Rioche.

Since moving to Germany in 2022, Jochem has been a member of Dance Theatre Heidelberg under the direction of Iván Pérez, performing in a wide range of productions and multidisciplinary creations by Pérez, Ioanna Paraskevopoulou, Melanie Lane and other international choreographers.
