Jón Vallejo was born in Spain and trained in classical ballet at the Scaena Carmen Roche in Madrid and the Thalía Ballet in San Sebastian. He has been a dancer with the Semperoper Ballet since 2006 and has appeared in numerous productions, becoming a principal dancer in 2016. He has received many awards, including being voted Best Dancer of the Year twice by Dance Europe magazine (2018, 2019). In the 2025/26 season, Jón will appear as a guest dancer in the new creation "Eins vor, zwei zurück" by Ioannis Mandafounis, which is being produced in co-production with the Semperoper Ballet and is part of the double bill "Byways".
