
Dance allows me to transform into whatever I feel. My senses sharpen, my persona evolves. I discover new dimensions of myself. I love to challenge emotions, to let go of control, and to embrace playfulness. I want to push my limits. It's what makes me feel alive. It's what frees me.
Gilda De Vecchis is an Italian dancer. She discovered movement young, starting in ballet before pursuing rhythmic gymnastics professionally for eight years. There she made the switch to contemporary dance, completing her training at Accademia Susanna Beltrami – DanceHaus in Milan. From 2021 to 2024 she danced with wee dance company under the direction of Dan Pelleg and Marko E. Weigert, then joined Tanzcompagnie G.H.T. under the direction of Massimo Gerardi from 2024 to 2025, working with international choreographers. Between 2025 and 2026 she worked as a freelancer, performing in several contexts, including the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games opening ceremony (choreographed by Adriano Bolognino), Stuttgart SOLO CHOREO with the piece "UPLOAD" by Edgar Ioannis Avetikian, and collaborations with Theater Regensburg's dance company.
