We look back on a successful year of dance! With the new creation "A Land Within" by Ioannis Mandafounis, we invited the audience at the beginning of the year to move freely through the rooms of the Bockenheimer Depot and the Festspielhaus HELLERAU. True to the motto "Get closer", this created special moments of encounter and closeness.

In our double bill "Forsythe / Hauert", choreographer Thomas Hauert presented a new creation in which he applied principles of improvisation developed from his work with his own company, ZOO. William Forsythe returned to the place of his former creative work for the first time and created a piece in which familiar ballet figures were abstracted and reduced to their essence.

With our family piece "Sch!", danced by two dancers from Regionteater Väst, we addressed young and old alike. Our workshop programme was also open to everyone once again – whether young or old, with a lot of experience, some experience or none at all, everyone can dance with us. This year we also invited people for the first time to "Morning Dance @ Night", a dance party for everyone. The next edition will take place in April 2026.

2025 was above all a successful touring year. London, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Rome, Hamburg, Barcelona and more – the DFDC was a guest at numerous festivals and theaters. We are delighted with the great international response.

We ended the year in Dresden and Frankfurt with the premiere of "Abschied" by Emanuel. With this in mind, we say goodbye to 2025 and look forward to the upcoming year. Thank you for accompanying us on this journey.
